Guy Yanai on Loss, Rilke, and Transformation at Galerie Lelong Paris

At Galerie Lelong in Paris, Israeli artist Guy Yanai (b. 1977) showcases his exhibition 'You Must Change Your Life,' which will be on display until March 27. Following the unexpected passing of his mother, Yanai created new pieces that altered his connection to imagery. In his studio in Marseille, he channeled his grief and everyday experiences into a focused painting technique. The exhibition's title is inspired by Rainer Maria Rilke's 1909 poem 'Archaic Torso of Apollo.' His artwork, characterized by vibrant colors and domestic themes, draws influence from French culture and Éric Rohmer's films. Yanai believes painting can transform perception and anticipates that AI will further this evolution. This exhibition was uniquely designed for the space at Galerie Lelong.
