Guy Debord's Works Published in Quarto Edition

The works of French Situationist theorist Guy Debord have been published in the Quarto collection by Gallimard, rather than the more prestigious Pléiade series. The editors argue that Quarto is a more fitting format for Debord, offering less solemnity, easier handling, and the possibility of illustrations, which are important for his work. The edition is prepared by Jean-Louis Rançon, Alice Debord, and Vincent Kaufmann, who wrote the preface. The critical apparatus is reduced to essentials.
