Gunther Werks GXR-Evo: A Carbon Fiber 993 with Shark Fin and Racing DNA
During Monterey Car Week, Gunther Werks introduced the GXR-Evo, a reimagined version of the Porsche 911 (993). Limited to just 15 units, this model is the fastest naturally aspirated variant. Notable modifications include a shark-fin rear window and a lightweight carbon fiber body, bringing the total weight down to 2,386 pounds. Enhancements for aerodynamics feature a deeper front splitter, airflow fender openings, an oversized rear wing, and carbon-fiber quarter windows. Under the hood, it boasts a 4.0-liter flat-six engine from Rothsport Racing, generating 455 horsepower and paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Inside, the minimalist design incorporates a carbon-Kevlar seat, roll cage, harness, Motec display, quick-release steering wheel, and helmet cooling.
