Guillermo Acuña Designs Disassemblable Forest House in Chile

architecture-design · 2026-04-24

Guillermo Acuña Arquitectos Asociados (ACAA) has completed La Invernadera, a temporary house in the forest near Curicó, Chile. The structure is designed to be easily disassembled and relocated. It uses three materials—Chilean laminated pine, polycarbonate, and a net—representing trees, leaves, and light. The wooden frame is covered with polycarbonate and a protective net. Polycarbonate allows views of the forest and makes the house glow like a lantern at night. Built on a slope with stilts, the 54-square-meter house has three floors: ground floor with living room, bathroom, and bedroom with terrace; upper floors as relaxation areas with large cushions.
