Guillaume Sultana's Gallery to Present Jesse Darling and Justin Fitzpatrick at LISTE Art Fair

Paris-based gallery Sultana, founded by Guillaume Sultana in 2010, will participate in the LISTE Art Fair in Basel with a presentation featuring two artists. Jesse Darling will exhibit two sculptures originally shown in a winter solo exhibition at Tate Britain alongside new drawings. Justin Fitzpatrick will display new paintings created in dialogue with Darling's sculptural works. The gallery's program maintains an international scope with specific attention to emerging English artists and themes addressing the body, identity, and contemporary political or social concerns. Sultana typically participates in four to five art fairs annually, viewing them as extensions of the gallery's exhibition calendar. LISTE, established in 1996, has grown into a significant platform for new galleries, with E. Gutzwiller & Cie, Banquiers serving as main partner since 1997. The private bank, founded in 1886 by Carl Gutzwiller and still family-owned, is headquartered in Basel. Sultana's gallery roster includes artists such as Pia Camil, Celia Hempton, and Paul Maheke. Fair selection is collaborative with artists, considering geographic factors and artists' current museum or biennial exhibitions. At LISTE, the gallery adapts presentation for an audience already familiar with emerging art, often omitting explanatory texts used in Paris exhibitions.
