Guillaume Désanges: Curator as Stage Director
Independent curator Guillaume Désanges has organized two significant exhibitions: "Erre, Variations labyrinthiques" at Centre Pompidou-Metz, running until March 5, in partnership with Hélène Guenin, and "2001-2011, Soudain Déjà" at École nationale des beaux-arts de Paris. Inspired by Régis Michel's shows at the Louvre, he became the secretary general of Les Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers in 2002 and contributed writings to Trouble. His early work critiqued shallow art criticism and promoted a more subjective approach. In 2004, he curated "Pick-Up" at Espace public, featuring automated lighting, and from 2009 to 2011, he initiated the "Érudition concrète" cycle at Le Plateau. The "Erre" exhibition uses the labyrinth theme to explore concepts of wandering and discontinuity.
