Guido Curto and Paola Gribaudo appointed to lead Turin cultural institutions
In 1955, Guido Curto was appointed as the director of the Consorzio delle Residenze Reali Sabaude by Culture Minister Alberto Bonisoli. His previous roles include directing Palazzo Madama and serving on the boards of both the Museo Egizio di Torino and the Centro per la Conservazione e il Restauro di Venaria Reale. Curto also led the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti and Pinacoteca Albertina from 2005 to 2011. He takes over from Paolo Turetta, who is now the director general of cinema in Rome. Meanwhile, Paola Gribaudo, born in 1959, has been named the first female president of the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti by Education Minister Marco Bussetti. An accomplished art historian and publisher, she is the daughter of former president Ezio Gribaudo. Gribaudo has collaborated with various publishers and received the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2011. Her inaugural event as president will be the opening of the exhibition "Dialoghi. Arte del Regno del Bahrein" on Friday, April 12, at the Pinacoteca Albertina.
