Guide to Milan's Best Independent Magazine Shops

Milan has emerged as a center for enthusiasts of independent magazines, particularly with the establishment of the Milano Fashion Library at via Sirtori 11, which was initiated five years ago by Anna Frabotta and Dario Gaspari. This library boasts a collection of more than 900 titles across diverse subjects. Among notable locations are Reading Room, launched in 2018 by Francesca Spiller, and Verso, which was created in 2015 by Andrea Gessner, Pietro and Tomaso Biancardi, Alessandro Beretta, and Lisa Sacerdote. In October 2023, the Alaska bookshop, established in 2021, introduced the Edicola Alaska festival.
