Guglielmo Maggini's Ceramic and Resin Sculptures Debut at Six Senses Rome
The Six Senses Rome hotel has launched Senses of Art, a new exhibition project curated by Valentina Ciarallo, featuring works by Roman artist Guglielmo Maggini (b. 1992). The initiative transforms the hotel's spaces into a dialogue between hospitality, culture, and artistic experimentation. Two sculptures are on display: 'Titano Mio (#2)' at the Piazza San Marcello entrance and 'La Solitudine del satiro' at the Bivium near the second entrance. 'Titano Mio (#2)' belongs to the Titani series inspired by Greek mythology's twelve Titans, created during a residency at Ceramiche Fumanti in Gubbio, using antique plaster molds from founder Aldo Fumanti. The piece combines glazed ceramic and resin, earning Maggini the first prize at Talent Prize 2025 for its technical completeness and artisanal knowledge. 'La Solitudine del satiro' explores similar material contrasts on a smaller scale. The hotel, housed in the historic Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini, features interiors by architect Patricia Urquiola that blend Roman classicism with modern sensibility. Senses of Art aims to integrate art as an essential part of the guest experience, connecting with the city and contemporary audiences.
