Guggenheim Names Hou Hanru and Xiaoyu Weng to Curatorial Roles for Chinese Art Initiative
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation has announced two curatorial appointments tied to The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Chinese Art Initiative. Hou Hanru will serve as consulting curator, while Xiaoyu Weng takes on the role of associate curator of Chinese Art. Their work will focus on commissioning significant new pieces from artists or collectives born in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Macao. These commissioned works are slated for display in exhibitions at the Guggenheim in New York.
