Guggenheim Fellowships and Pulitzer Prize Announced for Artists and Critic
In 2024, the John S. Guggenheim Foundation selected 49 artists for prestigious fellowships, with 24 in Fine Arts, 14 in Film-Video, and 11 in Photography. Among the Fine Arts recipients are seven prominent female painters, including Leigh Behnke, Cora Cohen, and Harriet Korman, who have contributed significantly since the 1960s. Cora Cohen, notable for her mixed-media works, recently exhibited "The Responsibility of Forms" in New York. Elena Sisto, an instructor at the School of Visual Arts, is set to unveil "Between Silver Light and Orange Shadow" on April 25 at Lori Bookstein Fine Art.
