Guerilla Spam's First Exhibition Opens at Street Levels Gallery in Florence

Street Levels Gallery in Florence presents "Di mondi lontanissimi, delle perdute pitture di Pontormo e altro ancora," the first exhibition by the collective Guerilla Spam. Founded in 2016 by artists and art professionals, the gallery at Via Melegnano 4-4R bridges urban art and exhibition spaces. The show runs from May 3 to June 8, 2025, featuring over thirty new works organized into three thematic areas: shadow, light, and color. These correspond to cycles of black, white, and colored works, with each section transitioning through repeated interactions—dark works contain white elements, white works contain color. The style is typical of Guerilla Spam: strong symbolism, stylized figures, and incisive marks on broad fields. Sofia Bonacchi, co-founder of Street Levels Gallery, states the exhibition marks a new cycle for the gallery, asserting its role in presenting urban art's multifaceted nature in Italy, where the movement is often misunderstood or marginalized. Guerilla Spam describes the show as a moment of reflection and restitution, akin to sharing stories from a journey, containing many of the "distant worlds" they have studied and explored.
