Gucci has announced a three-year restoration of the Boboli Gardens' botanical heritage, dubbed 'Primavera di Boboli,' following the G7 Culture summit in Florence. The project, promoted by Italy's Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism with the patronage of the City of Florence, covers the 33-hectare historic park. Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri revealed the commitment alongside Mayor Dario Nardella and Uffizi Galleries Director Eike Schmidt. The initiative includes recovery of the Medici garden, with the park remaining open during works. Additionally, on May 29, 2017, Gucci will present its Cruise 2018 collection by creative director Alessandro Michele in 24 rooms of the Palatine Gallery at Palazzo Pitti, marking the first fashion show there. Bizzarri noted the significance of showing in Florence, a key inspiration for Michele, after previous Cruise shows in New York and London. Culture Minister Dario Franceschini praised the collaboration, emphasizing fashion's role in Italy's cultural heritage.
