Gucci's New Lipstick Campaign Celebrates Imperfection with Punk Icon Dani Miller

Gucci has launched a new lipstick line under creative director Alessandro Michele, featuring 54 shades in three formulations (satin, brilliant, and lip balm) at €38 each. The campaign, photographed by Martin Parr, deliberately avoids conventional beauty standards, instead showcasing models with visible imperfections. The launch prominently features Dani Miller, a punk icon with a gap-toothed smile, alongside Ellia Sophia Coggins, Achok Majak, and Mae Lapres. A video set to Yazoo's 1982 track 'Situation' accompanies the campaign. Michele stated he rejects Photoshop and aims to celebrate natural diversity, calling the lipstick 'the most beautiful object you can find in a purse.' The collection is dedicated to his mother, who insisted on always wearing lipstick. This marks Gucci's first major makeup line under Michele's direction, continuing his provocative, gender-fluid aesthetic.
