Gucci's Exquisite Show Returns to Milan Fashion Week with Adidas Collaboration

Gucci returned to Milan Fashion Week with its Exquisite show, held at the brand's Via Mecenate headquarters. Creative director Alessandro Michele presented a nearly all-male collection, collaborating with Adidas for the first time. The show featured mirrored walls and screens, blurring the lines between reality and virtuality. Celebrities including Achille Lauro, Stan Smith, A$AP Rocky, and a visibly pregnant Rihanna attended, appearing as holograms. The collection merged Gucci's aesthetics with Adidas's three stripes and logos, a process requiring designers, creatives, artisans, and lawyers. The show closed with a bride figure resembling a manga heroine in red and black. Michele described the collection as a celebration of metamorphosis, using mirrors to break spatial limits. The event marked Gucci's return to the physical fashion week calendar after previous shows in Los Angeles.
