Gucci Produces Trilogy on Electronic Music History with Frieze
Gucci, renowned for its luxury fashion since 1921 and spearheaded by Alessandro Michele, has collaborated with the art publication Frieze on a trio of documentary films titled The Second Summer of Love. This series commemorates the 30th anniversary of the second Summer of Love, a pivotal moment for electronic music and rave culture in the late 1980s. The first film, directed by Wu Tsang, highlights New York’s house music impact on diverse communities. The second, by Jeremy Deller, examines the UK’s acid house scene, while Josh Blaaberg's finale showcases 1980s Italian disco. Selected screenings are ongoing at Gucci Wooster cinema through July 20.
