Gucci, Bvlgari, Fendi present fashion-cinema projects at Videocittà in Rome

From October 19 to 28, 2018, Rome hosts Videocittà, a festival merging creative and productive worlds of moving images. A dedicated section curated by Clara Tosi Pamphili explores the link between fashion and cinema, highlighting Rome's cultural identity. Gucci opens the section on October 19 at Curia Iulia with the exhibition 'Persona,' juxtaposing the ancient sculpture Togato Barberini with two realistic models from Gucci's February 2018 Milan runway, created by Makinarium. Bvlgari celebrates the 10th anniversary of ASVOFF – A Shaded View on Fashion Film, a festival founded by Diane Pernet, held October 20-22 at Palazzo Altemps. The Rome edition, curated by Alessio de'Navasques, features a video contest themed 'Your personal love affair with Rome.' The jury includes actress Rila Fukushima, fashion designer Pam Hogg, model and chef Cuba Tornado Scott, artist and filmmaker Pierre Bismuth, curator of the Italian Pavilion at the next Venice Biennale Milovan Farronato, actor Alessandro Roja, and film critic Marco Giusti. Fendi closes the section on October 27 with 'Lux Formae,' a videomapping performance by Hungarian artist Laszlo Bordos, transforming the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana and the Colosseum into a palette of colors and forms, symbolically uniting ancient and modern through light.
