Gruppo nanou's 'Paradiso' Performance at Ravenna Festival
At the Artificerie Almagià in Ravenna, the collective gruppo nanou, visual artist Alfredo Pirri, and musician Bruno Dorella presented 'Paradiso', a long-duration performance inspired by Dante's third cantica. The installation features reflective carpets with emerging plexiglass domes that refract light, creating an iridescent, immersive environment. Dorella's electronic score blends digital and analog sounds into a slow, warm, dissolving soundtrack. Choreography by Marco Valerio Amico and Rhuena Bracci involves dancers moving through the space with lightness and power, including Bracci herself. A figure in a red bathrobe and swim fins, possibly Dante, traverses the space. The performance invites audience participation and reflects on the possibility of creating a personal paradise through bodily practice and coexistence. The work is part of the Ravenna Festival.
