Group Show 'Raccontare il paesaggio' at Galleria Bianconi in Milan

The group exhibition 'Raccontare il paesaggio' at Galleria Bianconi in Milan features ten Italian artists exploring landscape through diverse media. Davide Tranchina presents photographic prints of pure geometries in starry skies, evoking distant cosmogonies. Umberto Bignardi's painted stars similarly reference remote visual experiences of infinity and origin. Francesco Jodice contributes a map describing abstract and political airspace, while Gianfranco Baruchello's map narrates a journey toward an imaginary destination. Nanni Valentini approaches landscape through its fundamental elements, building an alchemical dwelling for angels. Luigi Presicce and Luigi Massari represent landscape as a natural vision rich in formal and symbolic references and decipherable signs. Ugo La Pietra and Luigi Vegini return to an anthropomorphized vision where the individual shapes the urban environment. Luigi Ghirri's print closes the show, reminding that the gaze is the fundamental act from which landscape is born. The exhibition runs from January 2017 at Galleria Bianconi in Milan.
