Group Show at Richter Fine Art Explores Painting and Experimentation

exhibition · 2026-05-05

A green cloth in the entrance hall of Galleria Richter Fine Art in Rome triggers an explosion. It is COM surrogate, a malware that modifies Windows operating system data. The hard disk bursts, and four very different artists, united only by painting and age, immerse themselves in the project conceived by gallerist Tommaso Richter. Dario Carratta, Alessandro Giannì, Katarina Janeckova, and Silvio Saccà connect in this experimental laboratory, giving life to a multifaceted image. Carratta's work is Dionysian, between desire and anger. Giannì's mark is impetuous and dynamic. Janeckova explores reality psychologically in a playful key. Saccà's work is hermetic and difficult to approach. Freedom is the distinctive character of the group show, fully reflected in the fanzine created in the gallery: an identity document developed by artists and visitors day by day, effectively replacing the catalog.
