Green Pea Building: A New Sustainable Construction Model from Turin

Oscar Farinetti, founder of Eataly and Green Pea, has partnered with the Building Group, led by Piero and Luca Boffa, to launch Green Pea Building in Turin. This initiative is not a new company or real estate venture but a brand and long-term project aimed at promoting eco-sustainable design and construction for future homes. The partners have developed a seven-point green manifesto covering Earth, Air, Water, Energy, Resources, People, and Future, created with Boffa Petrone & Partners and the Sustainability and Circular Economy Laboratory of the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo. Construction of new buildings is set to begin in 2023. The project seeks to inspire other entrepreneurs and industries by providing a holistic model for sustainable building and living. Silvestro Greco, scientific director of the UNISG laboratory, emphasized the need for a common language that is accessible, transparent, and inclusive, guiding society through its current crisis.
