Grazia Magazine Releases 10 NFT Covers by Bianca Cedrone for Ukraine
On March 18, 2022, Italian women's magazine Grazia published a special issue titled 'Buongiorno Grazia' featuring 10 collectible covers created by artist and graphic designer Bianca Cedrone. The covers illustrate values the brand champions: peace, activism, inclusion, beauty, feminism, voice, internationalism, vision, planetary protection, and fashion. Each cover was also minted as an NFT, available on the platform manifesto.grazia.it, accompanied by music composed by Giovanni Allevi. Proceeds from the NFT sales are donated to the 'Emergenza Ucraina' project of the Fondazione Francesca Rava N.P.H. Italia Onlus to support women and children affected by the war in Ukraine. Grazia's director Silvia Grilli stated that the issue affirms the magazine's stance for freedom, peace, human rights, and honest journalism, opposing the Russian invasion led by Vladimir Putin. Cedrone described the project as an opportunity to explore dreamlike and surreal aesthetics while conveying important messages through beauty and imagination.
