The plot begins on March 13, 1975, when a mysterious fog isolates Milan, and demonic creatures attack. The Madonnina's golden surface reflects apocalyptic hues, prompting the emergence of five heroes from the Duomo's subterranean spaces. They fight alongside survivors, using arcane energy from the city's bowels to repel the invasion. Milan reorganizes into a new normal, adopting an unprecedented lifestyle. The story is written by journalist Francesco G. Lugli and Milanese traditions expert Gian Luca Margheriti. The date March 13, 1975, references an ancient Milanese festival tied to the city's conversion and the stone of Saint Barnabas, embedded in the floor of Santa Maria al Paradiso church on Corso di Porta Vigentina. The artwork features 'pictorial' plates by Alberto Locatelli, contrasting with the linework of Elena Cesana and Antonello Catalano for flashback sequences.
