Graphic novel 'O Diavolo' by Di Bella, Scornaienchi, Ralli released June 7

publication · 2026-05-04

The graphic novel 'O Diavolo' is a collaboration between singer-songwriter Francesco Di Bella (former frontman of 24 Grana), graphic novelist Luca Scornaienchi (director of the Museo del Fumetto di Cosenza), and illustrator Luca Ralli (Feltrinelli, Rizzoli Lizard). The book is based on Di Bella's album of the same name, released October 25 on La Canzonetta Records. The story follows street artist Libero, interrogated by Inspector Calabria in a seedy hotel on Christmas night in Rome's Tor Bella Monaca neighborhood. The narrative explores themes of hedonism, temptation, and redemption, with the Devil symbolizing societal excess. Di Bella co-wrote the script; Scornaienchi created a detailed storyboard and wrote an original song 'Certe Canzoni' accessible via QR code; Ralli completed the drawings in under two months. The book will be published by Round Robin editrice on June 7, 2019 (112 pages, €18, ISBN 9788894953374), with a launch event at Libreria del Viaggiatore in Rome at 7:30 PM, featuring Stefano Benni.
