Grandmerci Rebrands Palm Republic Rum with Caribbean-Inspired Design

other · 2026-04-29

Grandmerci, a founder-led design agency, has rebranded Palm Republic, an ultra-premium rum brand founded by Eric Winter and Brad Parkes. The new packaging for Silver and Aged Rums draws on the three Caribbean source countries—Panama, Jamaica, and the US Virgin Islands—moving away from pirate tropes. Custom typeface by Rob Clarke and bottle facets echo palm fronds; illustrations by Rose Mears and three waves at the base reference the countries. Deep blue glass evokes ocean immersion. The design process involved weeks of founder interviews and close collaboration with bottle suppliers. Grandmerci CEO Kasia Bannon led the project, noting the high stakes of working directly with founders.
