The trailer for Amazon MGM Studios' remake of 'The Thomas Crown Affair' premiered this week, featuring cameos by art historical masterpieces. Directed by and starring Michael B. ARTnews identified four visible works: Francisco Goya's 'Saturn Devouring His Son' (ca. 1820–23) from the Museo del Prado in Madrid; Henry Ossawa Tanner's 'The Banjo Lesson' (1893) from the Hampton University Museum; Kerry James Marshall's 'Silence Is Golden' (1986) from the Studio Museum in Harlem; and Caravaggio's 'The Fortune Teller' (ca. 1594) from Rome's Capitoline Museums. Crown is also seen holding a fifth canvas, though the trailer cuts off before revealing its identity. The inclusion of these iconic works underscores the film's art-centric plot and adds a layer of authenticity to the heist narrative.
