Göteborg International Biennial 2025 Announces Collective Forum Approach with Christina Lehnert as Curator
The thirteenth Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art (GIBCA) is scheduled to occur in Gothenburg from 20 September to 30 November 2025. This edition, curated by Christina Lehnert and directed by Mia Christersdotter Norman with artistic direction from Iona Leca, is themed 'a hand that is all our hands combined,' inspired by Solmaz Sharif's 2016 poem 'Personal Effects.' The biennial aims to promote unity amid a fragmented global environment. Featured artists will include Noor Abed, Basma al-Sharif, Lydia Ourahmane, among others.
