festival-fair · 2026-04-26

In 2025, Gorizia (Italy) and Nova Gorica (Slovenia) will jointly hold the title of European Capital of Culture, marking the inaugural cross-border edition. The initiative, named GO!2025, is set to commence on February 8, 2025, aligning with Slovenia's National Culture Day and notable anniversaries of poets. Among the highlighted exhibitions are "Ungaretti poeta e soldato" at Museo di Santa Chiara (running until May 4, 2025), an Andy Warhol exhibit at Palazzo Attems Petzenstein (available until early May 2025), and "Confini" at Villa Manin (scheduled for October 2025 to April 2026). Themes will explore Contrabbandieri, Guerra e pace, Creazione del nuovo, and Molto verde. Festivals include Pixxelpoint, Biennale dei Giovani Artist (May 31–June 30, 2025), and musical performances featuring Alanis Morissette (June 22) and Massive Attack (June 24).
