Gorillaz x Levi's: Customizable Streetwear Collection by Jamie Hewlett

The virtual band Gorillaz, created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett in 1998, has partnered with Levi's for a limited-edition fashion collection. The line features Hewlett's illustrations of band members 2D, Murdoc Niccalls, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs, reimagining Levi's iconic batwing logo with new colors and patterns. Select stores, including Milan's Corso Buenos Aires location, offer a 'Levi's Print Bar' that allows customers to print chosen images onto garments like hoodies, t-shirts, denim jackets, and fabric bags within minutes. The collection includes t-shirts with individual band member portraits, hoodies with the full band, and denim jackets with minimal spray-effect graphics. This participatory approach mirrors social media dynamics, positioning consumers as creative contributors. The collaboration follows Gorillaz's history of brand partnerships, including a 2018 G-SHOCK watch line for Casio's 35th anniversary and a 2017 VR music video for their album 'Humanz' supported by Deutsche Telekom. Damon Albarn is scheduled to perform at Lucca Summer Fest on July 20 with his side project The Good, The Bad and The Queen, featuring Paul Simonon, Simon Tong, and Tony Allen.
