Gorillaz Open Kong Studios for 25th Anniversary Exhibition and Concerts

exhibition · 2026-04-26

To celebrate their 25th anniversary, the virtual band Gorillaz—created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett—will open the doors of their legendary Kong Studios to the public for the first time. The immersive exhibition, titled "House of Kong," will run from August 8 to September 3, 2025, at London's Copper Box Arena. While details of the exhibition remain under wraps, it is expected to feature reconstructed environments, memorabilia, and special effects. A promotional teaser video, styled like a B-movie horror trailer, features the iconic Pazuzu statue, a Mesopotamian demon made famous by the 1973 film "The Exorcist" directed by William Friedkin. The statue, covered in stickers referencing the band's history, stands atop rubble, hinting at "another world between order and chaos." In addition to the exhibition, the band will perform four exclusive concerts dedicated to specific albums: August 29 for their self-titled debut, August 30 for "Demon Days," September 2 for "Plastic Beach," and September 3 for a mystery show. All concerts are sold out. However, fans can still catch Gorillaz at the Pulse Of Gaia Festival in Madrid on September 20, with tickets starting at €95.
