other · 2026-04-20

GoPro has announced the prices for its new compact cine camera series, Mission 1, with the standard model costing $599.99 and the Pro version priced at $699.99. The Mission 1 Pro ILS, which features a Micro Four Thirds mount for interchangeable lenses, is also set at $699.99 but does not include a built-in lens. Preorders for both the Mission 1 and Mission 1 Pro can be made through GoPro's official website, with shipping commencing on May 28. A complimentary Point-and-Shoot Grip is offered with preorders for a limited time. Other retailers, such as B&H, will begin taking preorders on May 21. The Mission 1 Pro ILS is not available for preorder through GoPro yet. Both models utilize a Type 1 image sensor, a 15-27mm f/2.8 built-in lens, and the GP3 image processor, capable of capturing 8K video. The Mission 1 records at 8Kp30 in 16:9 and open gate (4:3), while the Pro version supports 8Kp60 in 16:9 and enhanced slow-motion options, including 4Kp240 and 16x slow motion at Full HD. Both cameras come equipped with HyperSmooth stabilization featuring 360° Horizon Lock, 10-bit video, HLG, TimeWarp, timelapse recording, night mode timelapse, and 50-megapixel still photo capture with RAW support. The Pro ILS retains all features of the Mission 1 except for the built-in lens. GoPro attributed the initial absence of pricing to instability in the flash memory market, which has since been resolved. The Mission 1 Pro ILS is anticipated to ship in Q3.
