Google Pixel's 'Artworks Live Cases' Feature Astronaut-Inspired Designs by Eliza McNitt

Google has launched a new series of interactive smartphone cases under its 'Artworks Live Cases' initiative, priced at $35. The cases, designed by artists and designers, feature a special button that activates custom wallpapers and apps. The latest collaboration with filmmaker Eliza McNitt focuses on space exploration, inspired by female astronauts. The cases display colorful astrophysics imagery, and pressing the button triggers McNitt's short documentary 'Dot of Light,' which highlights women in space history, including Kathy Sullivan, Nicole Stott, and Anousheh Ansari. Other figures referenced include Eileen Collins and Mae Jemison. Previous case designs include those by Opening Ceremony (featuring patterns from New York City Ballet's 'The Times Are Racing'), Jeff Koons (using his 'Gazing Ball' series), and Montreal collective En Masse.
