Google has enhanced its Ask Maps functionality within Google Maps, enabling users to order meals, reserve accommodations, and purchase event tickets directly via the application. This update, revealed on Thursday, incorporates Personal Intelligence, which tailors responses based on information from Gmail and Google Calendar. Users can inquire about local dining or lodging options for events, with the tool supplying links for online orders and reservations. Initially, these enhancements are being launched in the U.S. Personal Intelligence, which is disabled by default, can respond to inquiries regarding flights and bookings, while a live transit widget provides real-time information. Both features are accessible in all regions where Ask Maps is available.
