Google DeepMind Launches AI for the Planet Accelerator in Asia Pacific

The first Google DeepMind Accelerator program in the Asia Pacific has been launched, emphasizing "AI for the Planet." This three-month initiative is designed for startups, research groups, and nonprofits in the area, with the goal of leveraging advanced AI to tackle issues related to nature, climate, agriculture, and energy. Chosen participants will benefit from specialized mentorship, customized assistance, and guidance in utilizing frontier AI and scientific AI models from Google AI specialists. The program will commence with an in-person bootcamp in Singapore. This effort is a response to findings indicating that green technologies are not advancing quickly enough to meet the increasing environmental challenges in the region.
