Google Chrome launches artist-designed themes featuring Jeff Koons, Jenny Holzer, and others
Google just launched a new set of themes for its Chrome browser, featuring designs from a range of artists like Jeff Koons, Jenny Holzer, Tom Sachs, and Dale Chihuly. These themes significantly change how the browser looks, especially when you open new tabs. Other well-known figures involved include fashion designers like Donna Karan, Todd Oldham, Kate Spade, Oscar de la Renta, and more. There are over 90 different designs, showcasing everything from Mariah Carey’s portrait to detailed custom art. Although Google didn’t pay the artists, they offered them a chance to reach a large audience, which many turned down. Koons's theme includes shiny rabbits on a colorful background, while Holzer’s reflects her famous light art.
