Goodwood Art Foundation Debuts Summer Show with Nancy Holt, Eva Rothschild

The Goodwood Art Foundation, launched in 2025 at the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, UK, is gearing up to present a major summer showcase from May 2 to November 1, 2026. Named MoonSunStarEarthSkyWater, this exhibition, a partnership with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, will display over 50 artworks across two galleries, the restaurant “24,” and a vast 70-acre outdoor area. It marks Nancy Holt’s first major exhibition in the UK, featuring her iconic pieces like Ventilation System (1985–1992) and Hydra’s Head (1974). Irish artist Eva Rothschild has created a new work for the indoors, while outdoor installations by Yayoi Kusama, Lee Ufan, and Polly Apfelbaum enhance the landscape. Sound art by Susan Philipsz fills the forest, overseen by former Tate curator Ann Gallagher OBE and developed with curators Lisa Le Feuvre and Eleanor Clarke, under CEO Tracey Greaves and director Richard Grindy. Holt’s artistic journey ranges from early poetry to her famous Sun Tunnels in Utah, with contributions reflecting on materiality and memory.
