Goldsmiths CCA Opens New Exhibition Space in London

institutional · 2026-05-04

So, back on September 8, 2018, the Goldsmiths Center for Contemporary Art in London launched a brand new exhibition space that covers 930 square meters. This project got a boost from several well-known alumni like Damien Hirst and Steve McQueen, whose pieces were auctioned at Christie's. Galleries such as Sadie Coles and Pilar Corrias also pitched in. The renovation of the old Victorian bathhouse was handled by the architecture firm Assemble, which won the Turner Prize in 2015. Sarah McCrory has been overseeing the space since January 2017, which includes eight galleries. The opening features work from Mika Rottenberg, with future exhibitions lined up for Kris Lemsalu and a posthumous display of Alexis Hunter.
