Goldschmied & Chiari's Untitled Views at Galleria Renata Fabbri
Sara Goldschmied (Arzignano, 1975) and Eleonora Chiari (Rome, 1971) present their new series 'Untitled Views' at Galleria Renata Fabbri in Milan. The works are mirrors of various sizes onto which photographic shots of colored clouds are affixed, created by exploding smoke bombs and colors in the studio. These polysemic pieces reference multiple sources: from the dramatic skies of 19th-century vedutisti to the late Turner, from the familiar imagery of smoke and smoke bombs in protests, industrial areas, danger signals, and war zones to volcanic phenomena. The exhibition moves from cool tones in the first room to warm tones in the last, creating a path that, through the reflective surfaces, can transform into an intimate interior view. The show is reviewed by Francesca Mattozzi.
