Gold Gala 2026 Honors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Celebrates Asian Pacific Representation

On Saturday evening, the Music Center courtyard in downtown Los Angeles hosted the fifth annual Gold Gala, organized by the nonprofit Gold House. The event attracted over 650 attendees dressed in heritage-themed black tie, including notable figures like Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mindy Kaling, Charles Melton, and Simu Liu. Chopra Jonas was honored with the Global Vanguard award for her impressive 25-year career that connects Bollywood and Hollywood, accompanied by her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra. She donned an embroidered gown by Amit Aggarwal made from an archival Chikankari sari. Simu Liu received the Gold Mogul award, while Charles Melton earned the Gold Artistic Achievement trophy for his performances in May December and Beef. The dinner was emceed by Bowen Yang, who entertained guests with humor about Asian culture. The after-party featured Hennessy XO cocktails, mahjong, and karaoke performances by filmmaker Maggie Kang, Ross Butler, and Saagar Shaikh, who sang Linkin Park's In the End.
