Gogglebox Star Ken Harwood Dies at 77 After Short Illness

Ken Harwood, a beloved cast member of the Channel 4 show Gogglebox, has died at age 77 following a brief illness. Harwood appeared alongside his wife Anne for five seasons, from series 15 to 19, between 2020 and 2022. The couple, married for 55 years, lived in Consett, County Durham. Production company Studio Lambert confirmed his death last week and announced a tribute will air at the end of an upcoming episode. Before television, Harwood worked as a postmaster for 30 years and later served as a local councillor until retiring in 2013. He is survived by his wife Anne, sons Simon and Ross, daughter-in-law Elle, and grandchildren Freya and Tristram.
