Goethe Institut launches online platform connecting Rome and Berlin designers
The Goethe Institut in Rome, under the leadership of Gabriele Kreuter-Lenz, has introduced an online platform as part of the Creatività 4.0 initiative, in partnership with the German Federal Foreign Office, Open House Roma, and Dude. This platform is designed to encourage interaction among Italian and German creatives, highlight contemporary German culture, and facilitate collaboration. It includes dialogues, a map showcasing Roman creativity, significant venues, events, and a connection to the Berlinale. Christina Hasenau oversees the project, while content is curated by Davide Partena. Between 2018 and 2019, various events, residencies, and workshops for emerging designers will take place. A temporary makerspace has been set up since autumn 2016 to establish a network of young professionals from Italy and Germany.
