Global NFT Exhibition lands at Palazzo Merulana in Rome

On January 15, 2022, Palazzo Merulana in Rome will host the first international NFT exhibition in Italy, a one-day event organized by Global Art Exhibition (GAE) in collaboration with CulturaItalia. The exhibition, titled Global NFT Exhibition, will project digital works by artists from around the world, including Italy, the UK, the US, France, and South Korea. The initiative originated from two Clubhouse clubs: GAE, launched on April 15, 2021, by collector Escargot and twelve international co-founders, and CulturaItalia, founded in February 2021 by Andrea Valeri, who is also responsible for cultural activities at Palazzo Merulana and a collaborator of Rome's culture councillor Miguel Gotor. Stefano Favaretto, an artist and co-founder of GAE, is among the organizers and exhibitors. The event aims to grow the Italian NFT community and follows a previous physical exhibition at Start Art Gallery | K11 MUSEA in Hong Kong that featured over 50 artists. The program includes workshops, roundtables, and networking sessions, exploring themes such as the metaverse and crypto art. Favaretto expressed hope that the exhibition will attract local attention to digital art.
