Glastonbury 2027 Headliners Confirmed, Madonna Rumors Denied

Emily Eavis, who organizes the Glastonbury Festival, has confirmed the headliners for the 2027 event but dismissed rumors about Madonna being one of them. In a chat with Katie Razzall on BBC Radio 4's PM, she stated, "No, it's definitely not Madonna, I'll tell you that." She also mentioned that three other headliners are already locked in, and the lineup is shaping up nicely. When questioned about Taylor Swift, she opted not to comment. Madonna, who has never performed at Glastonbury, fueled speculation in June on Graham Norton’s show about a significant UK event next summer. Eavis claimed that "95% of the stories about Glastonbury are not true." Meanwhile, reports suggest Madonna might headline a special three-night event in London, but that’s unconfirmed. The 67-year-old recently appeared at the FIFA Men's World Cup final halftime show alongside Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Eavis used the interview to highlight the need for arts funding, hoping that the new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, will support music education and smaller venues. Last year’s festival showcased The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo as headliners, with Sir Rod Stewart in the legends spot. Glastonbury will take a break in 2026 and return in June 2027, with tickets expected to be available in November.
