Glasstire's Top Five Texas Art Events: April 23, 2026
This week's Glasstire roundup features five exhibitions throughout Texas. In Austin, Mark Flood's solo exhibition, 'Buddy Can You Spare a Meme,' is on display at Co-Lab Projects until April 25, including a performance by San Francisco sound artist Victoria Shen (Evicshen). Meanwhile, in Dallas, 'Minor Regional Novelist,' a group exhibition inspired by Larry McMurtry's self-mocking label, showcases artists from Lone Star Regionalism (Dallas Nine), Texas folk art, and contemporary Texas-linked artists, running until May 23 at Nature of Things. Lastly, La Zona in San Antonio showcases Eric Acuña's installation 'a ———– b, ad INFINITIUM,' utilizing microscopes, lasers, and DIY radio satellites to explore perception and energy, closing on May 3.
