Glass as Sculpture: Cirva's Collection Comes to Venice

exhibition · 2026-05-04

The exhibition at Fondazione Querini Stampalia, part of the Le Stanze del Vetro initiative by Fondazione Giorgio Cini and Pentagram Stiftung, showcases works from CIRVA in Marseille. Curated by Chiara Bertola and Isabelle Reiher, this two-venue display features pieces from artists who have participated in CIRVA residencies over the last thirty years. At Le Stanze del Vetro, visitors can see works by Larry Bell, Lieven de Boeck, among others, highlighting CIRVA's legacy. Meanwhile, Querini Stampalia presents eight artists, including Dove Allouche and Philippe Parreno, who investigate glass as a conceptual medium. Launched in 2014 with support from Le Stanze del Vetro, the exhibition includes new creations by Caccavale and Salvadori, coinciding with Venice Glass Week.
