Gladstone Gallery expands to Seoul's Gangnam district with HeeJin Park leading new space
Gladstone Gallery will establish a new Seoul location in the Gangnam district, marking its first physical expansion into Asia. HeeJin Park will oversee operations at the Korean venue. Founder Barbara Gladstone noted the gallery's established connections with Korean institutions, referencing Matthew Barney's 2005 exhibition at the Leeum. This development occurs alongside other gallery expansions in Seoul, including Thaddaeus Ropac's planned opening next month. Frieze's inaugural Asian fair, scheduled for next year, will collaborate with the Galleries Association of Korea. Gladstone currently maintains spaces in New York and Brussels, plus an office in Los Angeles.
