Giustini / Stagetti opens new Rome gallery with Umberto Riva show
Founded in 2009 by Roberto Giustini and Stefano Stagetti, Giustini / Stagetti has launched a new gallery at Via Gregoriana 41, just a short distance from Piazza di Spagna in Rome. This venue, which spans 500 square meters, showcases Italian 20th-century and international contemporary design, featuring works by notable figures such as Franco Albini, Gio Ponti, and Ettore Sottsass. Designed by architect Umberto Riva in collaboration with Emilio Scarano, the space includes white walls, a neutral seminato floor, a vaulted ceiling, a Carrara marble staircase, and a mezzanine area for subdued lighting. The opening exhibition, "Opere scelte," runs from May 5 to June 17, 2022, highlighting Riva’s significant pieces and curated by Gabriele Neri, who reflects on Riva's unique blend of architecture and design.
