Giuseppe Stampone's 'Personale connettivo' at MAC Lissone

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Giuseppe Stampone (born 1974 in Cluses) presents 'Personale connettivo' at MAC di Lissone, a solo exhibition exploring collective creativity, language, and time. The ground floor features three landscapes and two texts celebrating drawing and Stampone's Abruzzo origins, including the Gran Sasso, reflecting on post-pandemic equilibrium. The first floor hosts participatory works from 'Global Education', such as abecedaries, maps, and 'Acquerelli per non sprecare la vita', part of the international project 'We Are the Planet!' addressing water resources. Stampone subverts traditional abecedaries by engaging communities to redefine associations, exposing power dynamics in language. The second floor presents intimate works using his signature 'Blu Stampone' technique (bic pen glazes), evoking Renaissance painting and medieval scriptoria. Notable is 'Via Crucis' (2017), fifteen modules interpreting Christ's passion, with the central module depicting Syrian child Aylan Kurdi from Nilüfer Demir's photograph, symbolizing the migrant crisis. Stampone calls himself 'the intelligent photocopier', reclaiming Walter Benjamin's 'aura' through temporal dedication. The exhibition runs at MAC Lissone.
