Giuseppe Stampone creates artist path at historic Piedmont cement plant

exhibition · 2026-04-26

On September 21, 2024, Giuseppe Stampone, an artist born in Cluses in 1984, will launch a project named Area907 at the Cementeria di Trino in Casale Monferrato, Piedmont. This initiative, supported by Buzzi, a cement plant established in 1907, seeks to develop an immersive art experience within the facility. Area907 comprises two exhibition areas: one dedicated to archival materials and the other featuring Stampone's artwork in the Sandro Buzzi section. Collaborating with employees, Stampone created an alphabet called Uno e Trino, which includes 21 letters symbolizing Buzzi's principles. The project also presents an axonometric map and an installation named Europa. Curated by Ilaria Bernardi, it follows Stampone's double exhibition Game Over, which runs until August 31, 2024.
