Giuseppe Pietroniero's Visual Paradoxes at LABS Gallery Bologna

LABS Gallery in Bologna presents '...dove tu stai, anche io sarò', a solo exhibition by Canadian-born, Rome-based artist Giuseppe Pietroniero (b. 1968, Toronto). The show explores spatial reconfiguration and subversion of perspective through drawing, painting, and sculpture. Key works include 'Codirosso' (2025), a taxidermied bird facing its reflection; 'Anvil' (2025), a ceramic anchor with a butterfly; and the site-specific 'Tutti in uno' (2026), a large graphite drawing that creates a vortex of missed perspectives. 'Moduli Pinti' (2023) and three 'Disegni' (2025) further develop impossible rooms and layered scenarios. A text by curator Giuliana Benassi frames the exhibition around concepts of elusiveness, confusion, fragility, and instability of viewpoint. The show emphasizes the creative potential of error, engaging the viewer in active exploration of shifting trajectories.
